Re: Do people make fun of you for listening to edm?
+1 to whoever made this thread. i find myself in this position of having people coming up and asking me about the music i listen to. 90% of the time i just try to ignore it and bring up a new topic in fear of them thinking i listen to darude, dj sammy, dj tiesto, dj (insert random junk here)
Re: Do people make fun of you for listening to edm?
I do get razzed by some of my friends for listening to edm. I also get a raised eyebrow about posting on this board. Too bad for them that they're missing out!
Awww...I didn't mean A holes, as in "A holes"...I meant it like, as in, my friends....

its just odd to me that your so called friends, or any one for that matter, would make fun of you for the music you listen to.. i mean, you're not 12
more so that peeps dont understand.
they expect that what they listen to is acceptable hence dont understand its a big melt pot of shared ideas and understandings. honestly i have mates that listen to metal and jazz and what not else. but music is never an issue. apart from when we drive. when it comes to having to "live with" someones else music tastes is when it gets messy! i cant cope much listening to metal or much else for a lon gperiod of time. i'm acceptant, but it grates on me. but i am far more flexible than my mates. they moan after seconds listening to my music. hence i'd say we are probably one of the most open groups of listeners since we dont make too many judgements and are acceptant of other peoples tastes! moany bitches!!!
Re: Do people make fun of you for listening to edm?
My mates call it devil, evil and even angry music.
I don't mind.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
