It was summer when Guy J delivered this and it could easily have been one of this year’s biggest summer tunes. Man of many faces and definitely one of the world's most gifted and talented producers, Guy Judah surprises everybody with this exceptional piece of music. Based on the vocals of an old popsong from American band “ The Red”, Guy J managed to craft an essential piece of music with the vocals of Been Here Before. His twisted and haunting approach kicks off right from the start, it showcases directly his unique style and then brings in the great vocal which reminisces of Led Zeppelin from the early days. It gets accompanied by a lush melody that seem to push all buttons at once and then works all parts into a staggering breakdown but never looses it’s cool approach. Already played by many top jock like Jimmy van M and picked up by Dave Seaman and Nick K for their compilations. Goosebumps…..
Basically there’s something for Everybody in this remix package. Guy has provided both the original and a dub and will make it hard to choose from as both versions hit the right buttons. Both versions are exceptional and display a great melancholy. DJ Yellow does what he does best, techy sounds and a great layering of sounds make this a solid remix, Monsieur Yellow insisted in doing a remix after hearing the original the first time.
Dutch threesome Envotion have taken a more progressive route with their pumping style and great overall production. This version has also been picked up by Blake Jarrell for his Armada compilation and has already gained strong support form the Scumfrog, a no nonsense approach that does a great job!. Last and certainly not least is Hungarian Jay Lumen with his warm approach. More on a housier tip, this remix blends great eighties sounds with Jay’s warm production and groovy bassline.
