Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....
All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

same here..always have my heart on my tongue which sometimes causes problems because I say most of the time what I really think straight to the point not really caring if the recipient may like it or not but I can't do it differently..like you said it Garrick, that's me so take me as I am or go away. In return I will take you as you are and as long as I can live with your general character and behaviour you can have lots of idiosyncrasies and it won't bother me and I will just let you be who you are.Comment

Genuine, honest. but nice is important and as our society becomes ruder and ruder I think being nice is increasingly important.

IMHO a genuine person would be nice about what they have to say, this is from my experiences anyway. Granted there are times when the lines are blurry or when there is more gray area involved. Clearly it is circumstantial.
In answer to your question, I spent the first parts of my life being nice. I am now mature enough to know I should be genuine with every fabric of my being. I can still be nice while being assertive because it is in fact genuine.
