Things to do in Seattle?

Group of us are heading to Seattle tomorrow for the weekend...does anyone have any recommendations on things to see/do? We're obviously gonna hit up the space needle and the fish market, but any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Also, any tips on good restaurants (varying price ranges) would be great!

ps. Anyone in the northwest...you should consider going to Jim Gaffigan on Saturday night in Seattle. Going to be a great show, he is funny as hell.

- Pike's place is a must.
- Space Needle
- EMP
- Tour of the Seahawk's field.
- Alki beach to get a beautiful view of downtown
- Ferry ride to Friday Harbor
- Art Museum in downtown is pretty dope.
- Dick's Burger. Don't ask, just go.
- Capital Hill. Pretty cool stores and shopping. Tons of eateries.
- They have some huge gaming complex, I forgot what is called. Easily can kill a couple of hours.
- Boeing Museum if you are into airplanes.
- Seattle underground
- The whole pier thing can be neat.
- The Seattle Aquarium
- The Science Center
- Dale Chihuly Galleries

ive never been there but i am pretty sure there is a jimi hendrix museum which imo would be a must to check out. the god of guitar

a lot of those things are very tourist.

I lived up in Seattle for 3 years with a car not a car. So pretty familiar with everything. I was also taking in note that it is the NW and the weather is teh suck now until May.

there's loads of stuff to do.
can you tell me where you are going to be staying? that way i can direct you to some cool shizzle. and amazing food stuffs. we have awesome beer, food, and coffee. you will eat so well.

you are out on saturday? how long is your show?
i play at the see sound lounge which is one of the coolest bars in seattle. people freak the fuck out.

we're staying about 3 blocks from the space needle at a friend's place.

the show goes till about 11:30. We will definitely be stopping by the lounge afterwards...can't wait to see you live! this trip just got better

i might have to hit up mt hood meadows... never been there, always been to bachelor since i was down in eugene the past 4 years, mt hood only decent mountain within 3 hours i think...

weird i actually totally absolutely fucking love the weather. i came home just to spend fall in the northwest. its gorgeous and we have the most varied weather. rain, sleet, hail, clouds, pouffy white ones and dark evil grey ones, then sunbursts thru them. sun one day and hella fog the next. its perfect.

anyhoo. great place to stay. right in belltown.

there are loads of places to eat around there. anything special you want? on the cheap you can get fun mexican food at mama's. cyclops has great breakfast and also is a wacky fun place with a huge eye and is right next to the ace hotel. good sushi down there, but my favorite is on capital hill. its called aoki. its the best. the coastal kitchen up on 15th is immense. try to go for breaky. they are open late. until 3 pm for it. its incredible food. and massive. bring your appetite. honey hole between cap hill/ pike has perfect sandwiches. hot or cold. day or nite. its a punk rock place also. so you'll hear good tunes.

i will echo capital hill. its my favorite area of the city. the best coffee can also be found on the hill. vivace coffee for mega nerdy purists like me. they take coffee very seriously.

mmm. let me know what you guys fancy seeing? on the cheap or do you want to spend a bit.

i think the space needle costs 14 bucks to go up but its worth it and i actually think the best time to go up is right at dusk as all the city lights are turned on and the sun is setting. its sooo amazing. and you can see it all. all the water. the lakes. the puget sound. the parks. queen anne.

also, my families record store is on queen anne. its called easy street. if you can get there. defo go. they carry all sorts, but yesterday cul and i went in and i found 70 bucks worth of used records. it was awesome.

you rock!! will definitely be trying out some of those restaurant suggestions! i'd really like a good seafood place. i don't get out to the coast much, so when i do, i like to hit up a good oyster bar or crab/lobster joint.

we're not out to spend a tonne of money on the trip, but we're not adverse to doing something if its worth the money. up for pretty much anything interesting...any recommendations you have would be appreciated

(btw, chloe, when we were at mondo in madrid, saw your name on the flyer. has that happened yet? we were quite impressed with the club as a last second destination, cool place)
