1 Original radio mix
2 Randall Jones remix + Dub
3 Muzikjunki remix + Dub
4 Perplex and Rosso remix
5 DPN remix
Release date: 5th of November (beatport excl. pre-release)
Label: Groovecollection Red 006
Release Info:
Flash Republic hails from South Africa, Capetown to be more specific and consists of Ryan Dent, Craig Massive and the lovely Tamara Dey. They’ve been around some years and one of the first offerings from Ryan Dent was the infamous “Purple Ohm” about 5 years ago, Since then lots has happened and in their native homeland they get more and more recognition. “Robot Red” is already 2 years old but has all the trademarks of a cool song, besides that, Tamara’s vocals is simply stunning and reflects the musical awareness that seem to come so natural from countries such as South Africa. There previous single “Emergency” appeared two years ago on Dutch label “Extrema”. Currently Flash Republic is touching up their new album and for that they’ve toughened up the beats slightly, making the whole Flash Experience even more club fuelled.
Vocals such as these scream for some solid remixes, so we handed them out to some peeps. Randall Jones has worked it into a very surprising remix, providing a vocal and dub with his trippy beats and sounds. Muzikjunki does what he does best, solid house that works a floor. Newcomers Perplex and Rosso take a deeper approach, making this a peak time stormer while DPN provides a more clubby approach that would do well for people such as Erick E and Fedde le Grand.
DJ Support:
Tarkan: Like the muzikjunki mixes
Eelke Kleijn: Remix by Randal Jones is one of my favourite tracks at the moment, charted it for October. Great track to build off with just after peak time, also wicked to build up with. Actually I think I could fit it anywhere
Flash Brothers: Muzikjunki dub mix is very cool.
Snake Sedrick: Muzikjunki Remix for me! Love it!!! really funky stuff
Tom Morgan: another solid release!
Villo: fresh!! 9/10
Deko-ze: Good to keep the floor rockin' with just the right amount of vocals.
J-Punch: nice warm up tracks. I dig the muzijunki dub mix.
