That's crazy...I don't think I would be able to get on a plane there, ever....I get nervous enough as it is

yeah...no offense to those other parts of the world, but this would be why I would be extremely nervous about flying with any African or Asian airlines. I suspect that they do not have the same standards of safety and rigor as in other parts of the world. Big engines don't just fall off a 747, even if something is sucked into it....I bet the overwhelming likelihood is that they fall off because of very shitty maintenance practices. It wouldn't surprise me if that was uncovered to be the case with this airline.

Agreed - just travel with a reputable airline. I always prefer going on Lufthansa/British Airways anyway
