    Jim Rivers presents MISFIT RECORDS

London, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Dublin, Mexico, Shanghai, Athens, Amsterdam…

In the last year Jim has travelled the world with his techy, glitchy, groovy electronic house music - and looking into the future and forthcoming tours and releases, it’s all about to get much crazier.

Jim has continued to build on his reputation since his first release on Satoshi Tomiie’s respected Saw Recordings in 2006 (‘Restore/Future’ EP).

Since then, releases have followed on labels such as Saved, EQ, Global Underground and Renaissance amongst others and remixes for Nic Fanciulli, Quivver and Gabriel & Dresden all continue to show Jim’s unique style and his take on dance music today..

“It’s young blood like Jim Rivers that keep the scene moving forward. He’s been a real inspiration this year. A top talent”Dave Seaman

“This deliciously balanced DJ is memorable on the palette and versatile enough to work with a wide range of dishes. Enjoy with friends or alone. A future classic in the making”Paolo Mojo

“Jim Rivers is the man to watch…I am a huge fan and am impressed by his ever improving skill”Satoshi Tomiie

December 3rd 2007 sees the launch of his long awaited new imprint, Misfit Records. The label will act as an outlet for Jim’s own records, essentially allowing him to release his music the way that he wants to, showcasing his different sounds & ideas, ranging from deep house & tech house through to progressive house, techno & beyond. The launch track MSF001 is an AA side release entitled ‘The Brassed Off E.P’, featuring two club bombs ‘Brassed Off’ and ‘Dallas’, both of which are now doing the rounds as limited promos and are garnering some seriously heavyweight support along the way.

A studio partnership with Paolo Mojo has been turning into a huge success, the initial fruits of their studio sessions, entitled ‘Darkplace’ is out now on Paolo’s Oosh imprint with a superb remix from René Amesz, whilst their 2nd track ‘Ron Hardy Said’ has just been completed and will appear in early 2008 as the second release on his new Misfit imprint.

With the launch of Misfit Records imminent, a host of new productions in the pipeline on labels including SIMPLE & Mode and continued touring as a DJ, Jim Rivers is without doubt one of the brightest prospects of the UK scene at the moment …watch this boy fly!

Jesus, that's an impressive resume. Has he been producing for a long time? Looks like he just exploded onto the scene like a canon.

Damn Darin bro where you been. Jim has been making some bad ass deep tracks for a while now. I go deep is one of my personal favs of the last couple months.

Mike are you the Andpress gent? Is the label accepting new artists?
