i mean you see things only as you want to see them and completely ignore any valid points that punch a hole in your argument...
for example
The fact is, despite all the muslims around the world who claim that 'its not the religion, its the country'...you don't see alot of these same muslims denouncing the countries that subjegate their women or run the country like a facist regime. There needs to be significantly more of the muslim community policing its own.
And how is it that all these random countries around the world, from the middle east to south asia, have had similar results under muslim rule? is it just coincidence that they all treat women or religious minorities the same way? that they beat lawyers in pakistan, have riots in jakarta, or punish a woman for being raped in saudi arabia? Even in dubai, where they are considered 'progressive', women are still FAR from being equal. And i've been there, so i'm not guessing on this one.
The western world, though flawed as it may be, is still better than muslim rule, any way you shake it. Rule of law, freedom of the press, democracy...these things are superior to the conditions in any muslim nation (as politically incorrect as that is to say nowadays...).Comment

Miroslav really needs to go there to understand what he was discussing? The story about the woman who had her baby taken away is made up? Or the religious police there? That those things could exist there and have it labled 'a good muslim country' are two incompatible things. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I have one simple anecdote, I used to live in Saudi Arabia when I was young due to father's work. and I used to go to an american institue to learn English , our teacher was from Las Vegas, very nice guy, and one of the students used to be a businessman ( with beard and dress , the kind of people that I am sure you would get scared off when you see one on TV) and this bearded guy used to invite us every weekend to his house and feed us the best food ever, this is an example of how people from two distant and completely diffrent cultures get together if we just open up a bit, the muslims have actiosn to take and the western world has to stop seeing anything muslim as dangerous.
And by the way who beats the lawyers, isn't it the Musharaf regime which the states backed and still backs now adays, isn't he the free world ally agaisnt extrimists in PAkistan ???? riots don't only happen in Indonesia fyi, riots happen in the states too, in France, Georgia, South Africa, and if you know that Dubai don't respect women, why did you go and visit ?? or did you work with them ??? if you really dont like them as you say avoid dealing with them for once. the Arab and Muslim world have their problems I know but it is nothing bigger than problems in India or in South America. By the way when I talk about the muslim and arab world I prefer to take examples of countries outside of the Arabian peninsula, countries such as Lebanon, Jordan, Algeria, Mororocco, Tunisia.
Now if you still think that I see the world in pink than what can i tell you thats your opininon.Comment
