Soulwax/2manydjs used to start their sets with La La Land accapella and their bootleg of Led Zep 'Immigrant Song'. Always worked.

I love the way Paul van Dyk used BT - Fibonacci Sequence to start his Mayday 2000 set.

I also really like the intro to Steiger's kiss set from last year.

Both discs on Steve Lawler's GU Nubreed!
Also, there was a really cool Moshic mix I heard a while back...used a bunch of tv/radio channel surfing as an intro...very cool.

I used to do mix tapes back in the day & used the famous line from Pulp Fiction by SL Jackson(strike down upon thee).
Also did an intro from the x-Files movie, some samples from Event Horizon. They sounded killer for the intro to a fast paced energy driven mix.
Also had some samples of jet fighters taking off and high speed passes that worked really well to.
