anyone travelled to czech republic and had Gambrinus? the czechs (who are the biggest beer drinking people per capita on the planet) don't export it...only local. Love that shit. And anyone in czech rep who wants to mail me some in exchange for cash or midgets, please pm me.

        for czech beers...

pilsner urquell is my all time go to favorite. when i'm not lookng for a craft brew, or a cheap american brew...it's pilsner urquell every time.

staropramen from czech is good too.

        krucovice, mmmm.

        Radegast, okay.

        golden pheasant, not so much.

Gambriunus...wish i could get it here in the states.

You know, I like this stuff, and I like Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout a whole lot, too, but there's no substitute for the original, IMO.

yeah i hear ya. they do actually make some good beers tho. 1554, and some of the seasonals are nice. i hate fat tire. chick beer imo.

New Belgium Brewery makes an aged beer called La Folie. I highly recommend trying it once. Such a unique wine/beer. It's not something i seek out, but it's cool to see people's faces when they drink it. lol.

Seriously belgium beer kicks ass. It was why I started the thread. Its a tad pricey here sadly. But at least I have a store within walking distance where I have been able to find everything I ever searched for. With the love for cycling in Belgium, I think I need to move there!
