Quick question for you DJ's. If a mix has been uploaded to the net on a music shared website by a DJ to promote the mix and themselves, can someone else upload it to other music shared websites to be downloaded by others for listening enjoyment? The reason I pose this question is that as far as I know, these above mixes have already been downloaded and shared by many. Can anyone shed any light on the legality of this? Peace.

From what I understand, it is perfectly legal to share, especially if forwarded to the web by the Dj himself. He/She has publicly posted the set, and its out there, also the legality issue is concerning commercially sold material usually, which is for profit, both by the Dj and the enterprise selling the commercial CD's, store, website, etc. I'm not a lawyer, its just what I understand to be true. Radio shows are also fine to share as well.

Hi All,
I saw a thread requesting chilled, downtempo mixes and I thought I would add a few of my favorite mixes. I downloaded these from tranceaddict a few years ago from a couple of DJs, and they still sound great. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. If anyone knows of any DJ sets that sounds similar to these please let me know. I especially love the middle-eastern sounds in ambient mixes. Thanks in advance. Peace.
