The BlackBerry® 8830 World Edition smartphone is the stylish way to get things done. It’s the first CDMA BlackBerry smartphone capable of roaming globally on GSM®/GPRS networks*. So you can travel the world with full mobile voice and data coverage, without having to change smartphones, phone numbers or email addresses.
The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition gives you phone, email, organizer, web browsing and instant messaging. And then it goes a step further, providing GPS*, BlackBerry® Maps, a media player for your video clips and music, and expandable memory to ensure you’ve got the room you need for your media files.
I'm waiting to get the new Curve with WiFi and 2 MP Camera. I know it's a work machine but its nice to able to take quick photos ever so often. I couldn't live without my BB though, fucking love it. Got a free 8700G when I signed up for a new plan this year.

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me
^ ^ Definitely take it back. I can almost guarantee you that they've heard it before. Those are the two things that really bug people about the Pearl. That wheel and the rollerball start to fail if you're a regular user.
^^ totally disagree. had my 8800 since Feb and would consider myself a heavy user (roughly 40 -60 emails/day) and not a single problem. sell blackberries all day long and the most common problem with them is that most people don't understand how to use them. in 5 years of dealing with cell phones, blackberries are by far the most dependable and least apt to break or wear down.
