one that doesn't require any applications to transfer data. Something simple, copy and paste, similiar to a flash stick, but not a flash stick in particular. No whistles and displays required although good sound quality is a must. Anyone have one?

The MuVo V100 is more than just an MP3 player, however. It also offers a drag-and- drop interface that lets you store text files, pictures, and more when connected to a PC. Simply slide the player apart, insert the USB plug into your computer, and transfer your music or data files onto the flash memory. As an alternative, listeners can record voice files via the built-in microphone. The voice recording function is the perfect way to capture seminars, meetings, song ideas, or even voice memos of your grocery list. And should you need to chase the blues away on a rainy day, you can turn to the lyric display function, which lets you sing along with your favorite artists (requires LRC files). The MuVo V100 is outfitted with several audio extras, including a customizable five- band equalizer with four playback presets (jazz, rock, pop, and classical), a Favorites folder that shuffles all your favorite tracks while on the go, and AudibleManager support that lets you download, burn, organize, transfer, and listen to Audible audio content on your player.MuVo V100 features a built-in USB connector, so you don't need a USB cable to connect it to a PC. MuVo V100 also features blue backlit display, built in voice recorder and displays lyrics. Simply drag and drop data and music files from your computer to your MuVo and you're ready to get your groove on. Holds up to 1000 songs Direct USB connection - no cables needed Displays lyrics Voice recorder Stores data files such as photos and presentations System RequirementsPush the envelope, watch it bend.

Re: Im looking for a new mp3 player-
^^^^They look very slick and have some nice features, but after a quick check on the prices, it looks like its hard to find one under $100. I think Im sold on the MuVo for $46 and free shipping, although my only draw back is that 2 gb is the largest, so I could see myself transferring alot. However, plug & play-copy & paste is a huge time saver. Loving it, this stuff is cool, screw the ipod (sorry toasty ).Push the envelope, watch it bend.

I'm using the Creative Zen and it's not drag and drop but it's fucking easy to use. Even a woman could figure it out. The thing is damn sweet. I got the 8GB version for $149 and added an 8GB SDHC card for $35. Been great on the plane rides so far.Comment

Re: Im looking for a new mp3 player-
Just my two cents, I just got a 30gb Zune for $90. The software kinda sucks, its not drag and drop, but the player itself is exceptional imo. Save for the software, there is no way I am going back to Ipod. It's never too late to become the person you always thought you would be.Comment

Re: Im looking for a new mp3 player-
Actually I very please with the sound quality. You can eq it if you want more control. I feel the device replicates sound easily. If you are going to even consider a portable device as a professional sound instrument you have to be mistaken. There is not one single mobile device that can come close to a good amped home stereo.
