Not a bad opinion piece. My only question to her. She mentions every candidate but one. Why no Ron Paul? Its obvious he has much support, if not main stream, to be mentioned.

ron paul is weird. solid economic ideas, but not a president.

the man doesn't believe in evolution as a science.

          Re: Iowa

Here's a pretty interesting article discussing the realistic possibility that Iowa could end without a clear victor, and how the spin of the Iowa result -- i.e., which story the media latches on to -- could end up being more important than the result itself.

As a matter of fact, this is pretty good blog for those interested in the horse race, process-based component of politics (as distinguished from policy). The last few posts are good reads on momentum and media coverage.

Yea....whats it gonna say if a 1000 votes separate 1st and 2nd place. People should wise up to how divided this nation truly is.

This might be part of it:

Many more are going to have difficultly avoiding the belief that our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists -- and they can be identified by the color of their skin. This conclusion may not be entirely fair, but it is, for many, entirely unavoidable.

Indeed, it is shocking to consider the uniformity of opinion among blacks in this country. Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5% of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty, and the end of welfare and affirmative action.... Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the "criminal justice system," I think we can safely assume that 95% of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal. -Ron Paul

Paul has some good ideas and good traits, he really does, and in the big picture, he's ideologically closer to me than many candidates. Also, I commend him for saying what's on his mind. This, on the other hand, is just offensive. Feel free to follow the link and see the context, because it just doesn't matter. You can't say shit like this and expect to be taken seriously. Paul gets his supporters riled up, but most people know that if he were ever put under the microscope that follows serious presidential candidates, he'd be hosed. Ron Paul nomination = sure win for his opponent.

                    Re: Iowa

I like how after belatedly spending millions on the Iowa campaign, Hillary's response through her staff was essentially: Iowa doesn't know shit and it is too small to matter!

Even if they are most likely correct, the manner in which they so openly say that demonstrates yet again in a small way how her entire campaign has a strong taste of arrogance and ignorance about it.

I find it hilariously delicious that she got her ass handed to her in Iowa. Here's to more of the same!

did anyone see his victory speech? Not too long, definitely worth watching. Takes him about 2 minutes to let the applause die down and hit his stride, but once he does, it's a whale of a speech.
