This week CITRIC is all NYC baby! Drawing from the talent pool of the city that never sleeps was the equation when Holosound began CITRIC with Derek Godwin over 3 years ago but in the midst of the seemingly endless rush of making the party happen we just didn’t have the time to keep our ears as open to locals as we’d have liked. Enter the Burn Industries Holiday party at Moomia on Dec 22nd where we had the pleasure of meeting Corey and Ryan the brother duo that is Samsara. These cats were humble, fun and most of all groovy and it was decided instantly that we needed to have their vibe compliment what we’ve been putting forth at the party. As the success of our Happy Holodays party suggested with only Derek Godwin & Holosound on the bill, NYC comes out in a big way when it comes to supporting their local talent and we’re looking forward to another night of ruckus in our favorite small venue in the city.
Getting back to a working formula for ’08, Derek Godwin will be showcasing his warming/closing skills by playing a deep 10-11 set and ensuring you don’t soon forget us all by slamming it from 3-4. Special guests Samsara will be setting the tone for the evening and helping us all get our crunk on from 11-1 and Holosound will be continue their exploration of how much bananas tech house can make you shake your ass from 1-3.
