go see the movie... it was good but not as good as I thought it would be..

moved a little too slow for me... but the acting was amazing

Saw the movie this weekend, the acting was great. Lewis was phenomenal, but as far as the movie i liked it but felt that it was too long. Some things werent really necessary to make this movie long. all in all it was a good movie though.

(don't read this if you have not seen the movie yet)

Spoiler warning - Mark text to read it
Loved this movie. But, there has got to be some purpose to the last 1/4 part of the film that we are not aware of. For me, it could have ended somewhere soon after he killed his imposter brother and it would have been excellent none-the-less.

Beautiful cenimatography, will look amazing in HD at home!

Daniel Day Lewis is absolutely mesmerizing, Paul Dano made me squirm as the wretched young priest. oh my god, i have chills just thinking about both of these performances. they stay with you. a lot of the film reminded me of Terrence malick, though it did'nt emulate him. just a nice reminder. i think i'll watch days of heaven now. i wish there were more films like this coming out of the states, let's keep our fingers crossed
