I have a friend thats to tight too pay for broadband but has a laptop and wants to use the internet without having to plug into the modem all the time. He has already got a desktop but that will need the connection aswell. Iv done a bit of research and it seems that you can use a wireless access point and internet connection sharing from a host machine but this means the machine has to be on most of the time. Anyone know of a router that supports dial up as a backup or one specifically for the job in question?
Dial up wireless?
