                  Keeps things fresh..Lets say, maybe you got tired of Cass & Mangan productions...You stop listening to them..This new person comes along, and you really like their productions. You find out that it is in fact Cass & Mangan......and it's all good....Name change helps to keep people from discriminating or associating a certain sound with a certain person/producer......

                      Usually the name change indicate a different sound. It's like a brand. You want people to associate a certain type of productions with a producer moniker. Eg., look at LSG or Hawtin.

                              Boring, the first half more so than the second. But boring nonetheless. Mushroom mix might work on a bigger soundsystem, but the original (or whatever it was I first heard) was spacier and dreamier.
