    Need help replacing a cd drive on an acer Aspire 3000

    I have a friends piece of shit laptop and he wants me to try and speed it up a little but I have to start by replacing his cd drive because its fried. Can anyone point me in the direction of some sites that might give step by step instructions on how this drive is removed and any other secrets/helpful hints I will need in this replacement.

      Have you tried the manufacturer's website? Or the manual?
