Dousk - Street Talk
A. Original Mix
B. Bart van Wissen Remix
C. Matt Rowan Remix
Release date: 14th of January (beatport excl. pre-release)
Label: Groovecollection Black 008
Release Info:
Greek-born producer/dj John Douskos a.k.a. Dousk first got the attention of a bigger crowd when John Digweed signed his Dousk EP to Bedrock. Tracks like “Pa Dida” and “Mute” got big with both renowned dj’s and the average dj/listener. Dousk never stopped making great, hard to pigeonhole type of tracks and recently delivered a stunning remix for Petter’s “Freak ‘n Love” on the Deep Focus imprint. Now he’s back again on Groovecollection grounds with his superb “Street Talk”. Coming with massive Bart van Wissen and Matt Rowan remixes this one is expected to be huge!
The original of “Street Talk” is a big-room, energetic kind of tune with a massive bassy hook and a glorious melody. The fat bass and full sounding synth just makes every muscle in your body want to move. A subtle female vocal hook joins the strong forces after the break and add that little extra hands-in-the-air feel. Peaktime house at its finest!
First up on remix duties is Bart van Wissen, a favorite among most dj’s and has produced a steady stream of very high quality tracks this year on labels such as Groovecollection, Sick Watona and Global Underground. Bart adds his typical groovy and funky sound to the already strong original and even creates a classic housy sound with his percs, bass and beat. Loads of energy in this one too and just as good as the original.
Aussie Matt Rowan reaches an even higher level of energy with his take on “Street Talk”. His typical sound turns the track into something that’s somewhere between trancy and housy. A deep sub-bass joins the groovy bass part and adds extra spiceyness. The melodic hook is more trancy of nature and will most certainly make the people go crazy.
DJ Support:

Steve Mill: nice pack with very good remixes !!
Redanka: The original is steady enough. Matt Rowan remix is the pick for me
Stian Klo: wow what a package, both the original and bvw remix are ace!! will definitely play both
Eelke Kleijn: Wicked release! Really enjoying both the remix by Bart as the original. Will both work in their own respect. Thanks
Darin Epsilon: 9/10! Definitely going to be charting a lot of Groovecollection material this month. All three mixes are extremely unique and outstanding production quality. I've never heard Dousk so funky in my life, but he seems to have no trouble at all conquering any style. I prefer the original mix the most, the layers complement each other the best. The Bart Van Wissen is bound to be yet another dancefloor monster. Matt Rowan's remix has a hard edgy bassline which gives me goosebumps. Thanks for sharing this.
Spesh: Good electro-house track with a smooth groove and just the right touch of bleepiness - in my bag!
