Hello,
been lurking for a while but thought I'd start posting Just wondering if anyone has any tips for mastering, once the final mix is complete, ie using multi-band compressors and eqing. I like the sound of a track but then I play it next to a well-produced track and notice a few problems with it being a tiny bit too bassy etc, but then if cut that a little, the trebles seem to high, and then after lots of fiddling maybe the track doesn't bounce in the same way.
Unfortunatly I don't have the money for professional mastering, and I presume its all down to hard earnt experience, but does anyone have a system, or a rough guide?
Thanks,
