Way Out West deliver their third pioneering studio album in a career that has spanned over 11 years, as 'Don't Look Now' is released through Distinctive Records on 30th August.
'Don't Look Now' glides from the staccato kick-drum and yearning vocals of upcoming single, 'Anything But You,' to the epic space age poignancy of 'Everyday'. Luscious soundscapes shift gracefully through the spaced out breakbeat of 'Apollo', into the textured balearia of 'Chasing Rainbows', to the main room dirty odyssey of 'Killa' and onwards to the rollicking bongo twists and mangled basslines on 'Fear.' "It just came out of a mad jamming session we did with our drummer, Damon, who used to be in Echo and The Bunnymen" says Jody Wisternoff.
'Don't Look Now' has been just over two years in the making. "We've worked on it pretty much every day, in between DJing, touring and the odd massive weekend bender" laughs Jody. "With our music we take the approach that you should do your best, no matter how long it takes. Music changes all the time and you need to experiment to find new sounds. Do your best or don't bother at all."
