Another Reason You Shouldn't Vote for Mike Huckabee
Another Reason You Shouldn't Vote for Mike Huckabee
"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."
Re: Another Reason You Shouldn't Vote for Mike Huckabee
he did kind of put himself out on a limb with that one. I get the drift (meaning) of what he's talking about and I like it but he does himself a disservice by sounding like a fundamentalist, not that there's anything wrong with fundamentalism.
Re: Another Reason You Shouldn't Vote for Mike Huckabee
actually this is a reason to vote for him. if you arent a liberal that is.
and with the current state of affairs in american social behaviour, i.e. britney spears pre-empting the scretary of commerce on MSNBC and CNN, people more focused on the writers strike than the state of the union...., maybe tightening things up wouldnt hurt.

Re: Another Reason You Shouldn't Vote for Mike Huckabee
Well, conservatives typically hold themselves out as "strict constructionists" of the Constitution, so it's certainly odd to think that that group would be completely OK with just rewriting it, regardless of the reason.
