    Re: Wine

Wow. I did not know about this thread. And I was just at a local Wine and Alcohol shop in downtown and was asking the gentleman in there about Sherry. Does anyone on here drink any Sherry...and I do mean the drink.

I've been interested in the drink for a while but haven't found any sherry tastings in this town, so I went to this dealer and he told me to go to a few upper end wine diners and buy a couple glasses of various sherry. I'm a gonna have my own Sherry tasting...and no not the girl.

the best thing about bordeaux is that even the 3 euro bottles in the supermarket are decent enough to have with dinner.

Cool. Sherry is a nice drink. Particularly as either and pre or post dinner. For me personally, dry sherry is the best for drinking. The sweet stuff is almost like sugar.

Experiment. I'm sure you will find what you like.

That would be a nice thing about living in Bordeaux.

other than that, i stick to Port; love six grapes and aged fladgate.

(if anyone knows a good pinot noir, i'd love to check that out too, have had good experiences with it )

Oh Port! Love vintage Port. Real old Vintage Port is like velvet, smooth, warm and delicious.

....Pinot Noir. Fantastic, yet expensive compared to most other wines. If you ever want to celebrate, splurge on a bottle of Flowers pinot. $50-$60 range. Worth it imo.

Some good value for Pinot is coming out of New Zealand. Try them. Prices in PA are between $19-$30 for them.

Maybe we can share a glass of port next time Digweed is in town.
