Heading to Atlanta in a month

Will be in Atl Feb 25-29 mon night through fri afternoon for work. About 12-15 coworkers/bosses from all over the US are going to be flying out there, and my boss managed to slide me in on account of one of the other guys not being able to make it. Somewhat shitty situation because everyone's expected to share a car, 2-3 people per car... so I get to meet my boss for the second time and share a car with him the whole week.

Who's in Atl? Not sure what my weeknights are going to look like, but I expect I'll likely be busy with work stuff the whole time... but if someone's willing to pick me up for a few drinks some weeknight I'm down

yeah, where are you staying? unless the conference is in downtown atl, you'll probably be stuck out there in the burbs like marietta or alpharetta. i hope for your sake, you're not! if you're in the burbs, having a car is essential.

if you're staying in downtown or midtown, then there's hope. you can get around even with the very limited MARTA transit rail system. unlike many metropolitan cities, downtown is not the center of all action. there's really nothing going on in downtown. midtown is where there are clubs, lounges, restaurants, etc.

do get on the lunarmagazine forum. it's where the local regulars discuss club, edm, and such.

just remember a flashlight, it's very dark there.

be sure to hit up The Vortex in Little 5 Points. best burgers in atl.

that'd be sweet. forget Ken was there... hung out with him a few days in Miami, would be good to catch up for a night if possible! will book my flight/hotel tomorrow, but it looks like I'll probably be somewhere downtown. will keep you updated. I expect since I won't have a car and since I'll have ~30 coworkers who I'd like to meet/hang out with at least once I won't be able to commit to a date/time. All I can say right now is I'll be in town and I'd like to hang out if you can be on call to pick me up! a lot to expect so no worries if it doesn't work out
