Tough call Adam. Kansas City sucks large amounts of balls, but Houston, Texas ....well, it's Texas. The hot and humid thing, you're already used to that, july/august in missouri is like Houston all summer. You'd be on the coast tho, and the beach has to be tempting. I'd probably take it. Or if you're unhappy where you are, look for a new job in a city you want to move to.
ive never been offered or had to move for work. personally me, if i were offered htown, id say no, but i hate the majority of the things about the place. why i live outside dallas & not htown. it would have to be an astronomical figure.
so my boss's boss asked me tonight when I was moving. I told him it would take some negotiation and he said "then let's negotiate."
I keep thinking this through my head and it's an awesome opportunity if I do it. I can also go to Greenville, South Carolina... smaller town but supposed to be beautiful. I'll have a talk with him later in the week and tell him I want 25k to move. if I can get 20-25k I could buy a plane ticket back to KC once a month and still be way up... plus I'd be getting the promotion/raise. it's tough to think about, but it's the right move career wise. plus I won't really be any less connected to my friends. if anything it would enable me to fly around to visit other friends even more! just makes me think if I want to be doing what I'm doing right now forever or if I want more opportunities.

what you do at work?....thats plenty of money, at least for me....
right the pros on one side.
right the cons on the other.
weight it out.
ask yourself questions. What will this do for my career? Will my life improve? Does this help me get closer to the goals I want in life? Can I use this "move" as a stepping stone onto a bigger and better job? What will be my work/life balance?
From there you will have a conclusive answer. Good luck mate.

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me
