well, this could make things interesting. McCain is the clear frontrunner, but I'm not convinced that his lead is so insurmountable that a coalescing of support behind Huckabee couldn't unseat him. McCain's not running away from the pack, he's walking.
Two of the next three primaries, Louisiana and Kansas (where they refused to teach evolution until recently), would seem to favor a guy like Huckabee. Who knows what might happen?
Who am I kidding, though. Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

Jaded conservatives who want the choice to be conservative without having to bite thier tongues for the 3rd election in a row.
Libertarians, who i believe have already given him the thumbs up
the constitutionalist party (which doesn't really matter, but still counts)
Democrats jaded by false promises of getting out of iraq (this only counts if Hilary gets the nomination).
He'll probably bag the independents as well consdiering such status-quo images presented by mccain and hilary.
Why Paul hasn't gained the evangelical vote I'll never know. Probably because he doesn't wear his church on his sleeve, or use it to force policy on others.

^^I actually like Ron Paul from a policy standpoint, I really do, and I agree that the MSM and Fox marginalized him to the point that it was virtually impossible for him to wage a serious campaign. Plus, he looks like a character from a fantasy book, maybe a wizard or something, so he's got that going for him.
Here's the thing, though. The racist ranting thing is a deal-killer, and if he had been allowed to establish himself as a legitimate candidate and ever got any traction, things like that would get more attention than they do now. He's been doing his thing basically unchallenged because he hasn't been enough of a threat to warrant any competing candidate's time and money. He's got some other views that many would consider out of the mainstream, and you better believe that his opponents would be hopping up and down about that shit if it mattered. He'd get creamed...
have you actually read the quotes in context? and the fact that he didn't write them. And the fact that it's old news from the early 90's. And the fact that he's got the support of the NAACP president. And well..look what Obama's personal pastor has said about the jews. Oh wait.... can't bring that up.
If people are going to bring up such an insignificant claim, when the future of this country is at stake, I would recommend that you reconsider what is more important for the country....
