THANKS! Sure a lot of classics on these tapes. Didn't he do a 5 hour gig at Firestone in 95ish to promote his positivibe label? For some reason I thought it was on another one of his b-day gigs?? It's hard to find any of his mixes from that era.
          Thanks again,
          Rick

That's because he was a jerk about being recorded! If he found out he was being recorded without his approval he would make it so the tape was distorted. He also had a couple of birthday/AAHZ reunions (maybe one other one-can't remember). But I don't think it was recorded, if it was I don't have them.

This was a fun night, Thanks Dredd for the hookup. I had all of these tapes, but lost them over the years. They were always a popular play at after parties....

                            Funky Dredd,
Was wondering by chance, if you had any of the old school recordings from the Edge in Fort Lauderdale. Along with Daydreamn', I was the back-patio resident dj there from 1993-1996, playing chill-out and downtempo tunes till the wee hours of the morning...

We had international guests flown in consitently for a few years, and at our peek we were drawing 2000-3000 people each week. Ah yes, and our WMC parties were legendary...

I know there were quite a few recordings made, but I lost most old the tapes I had, after a bad breakup with an ex-girlfriend a number of years ago. And unfortunately when Bruce Wilcox passed away in 2006, many of them vanished forever. Bruce played at the Edge venues in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Ft.Lauderdale for a good number of years, and was infamous for many reasons, yet he was always a great source for classic tunes & tapes.

I remember ( most of ) the good old days at Aahz, Firestone, and Simons, the short run of Convention Center parties throughout Florida, the Zen festivals, etc. Those memories, and the friendships made, will certainly last a lifetime.

Q: What do Osama and Obama have in common???
A: They both have a friend that blew up the Pentagon!

The tune that comes in at 19:15 on tape 2 sideB is why old house music should be heard. There really is nothing that compares.....

                                added tape 3

k3n3, unfortunately I don't have any of that stuff. I was mostly involved in the Orlando, Cocoa and Daytona Beach scene, so that's mainly the tapes that I have and those tapes were mostly DJ's I liked at that time. Not that I didn't enjoy other Dj's but they are mostly from DJ's I knew like Chris Fortier, AGH etc...
