Eelke Kleijn vs Disco Damage - Slow Down
A) SLOW DOWN
B) SLOW DOWN (DUB)
C) SLOW DOWN (MUZIKJUNKI REMIX)
Release date:11th of February (beatport excl. pre-release)
Label: Deep Records 044
Release Info:
Out of the blue Dutch maestro hands in this gem. Stating that it would most likely suit my style of melodic and melancholy tunes. He was right as “Slow Down” is different from scratch till finish. Teaming up with London based “Disco Damage” they deliver a quirky and catchy track that will appeal to lots of different ears. The sleazy vocals of Laura Fares and Kristin Neely put down a nice dirty feel on top of the whole production. The massive bass line has got just that right amount of energy to make your hips wobble while the simple and effective melody creates the amazing atmosphere. Eelke Kleijn’s album on GU has just come out some weeks ago and it looks like everything this young man touches is being picked up by all the right names, solid club music from ace productions. Disco Damage is slowly making names for themselves with their fresh approach towards arrangement in vocals. Their current single “London is Bangin” with fellow producers Dr Jekyl also from London is just out on Groove Collection Red. Muzikjunki liked the track so much he insisted on doing a remix, creating his own unique twist.
DJ Support:
G-Pal: Very Good!!
Stian Klo: amazing stuff from eelke yet again! full support !!
Neil Quigley: Thanks for this - I like Eelke's tracks so I downloaded immediately. Love the instrumental, will play and support.
Steve Mill: good one!!! prefer the dub
Shawn Mitiska: Eelke is on fire...everything this guy is putting out is high quality and genre defining. The 'Dub Mix' i'll defiantly be supporting at all my gigs and on my radio show whenever I can!
Sasha Le Monnier: ovely early glitchy style deep/proggy house
Kevin Shiu: Nice and groovy, the vocal mix is good too.All those warm bass line and beautiful synth. I like it a lot. Thank you
Darin Epsilon: A new Eelke Kleijn piece? Count me in! Slow Down is yet another signature Eelke production with the interesting chord changes and squeaky retro synths. It has a slow and steady groove that would be perfect for the opening half of a set. Both versions are quite enjoyable, but I will mostly be supporting the non vocal mix. The vocals tend to take the attention away from the great instrumentals. Fantastic job, Eelke!
Flash Brothers: Dub mix we like, good funky eIectro house!!
Thee-o: Solid production. I prefer the dub !
Damon G: This inbetween stuff is the next thing!
Chris Cargo: nice for the start of the night sets
Frank Chiarello: Love the melody over the dark bassline, great opener!!
Deep C: Solid tune
Medway: excellent production as usual
