DJing Has anyone used the Korg Zero4 yet?

was wondering if anyone has had a chance to try this mixer out yet. im looking into getting traktor scratch which along with the midi capabilities and firewire is designed for. the mixer also comes with ableton too.

looks like it's got lots of nice buttons. but i can't see paying that much for something to mix with when i'd have to take it with me all the time, and i'm not a professional dj.

the djm800 and xone92 are more expensive then this... i just like the fact can use it with ableton and traktor. with traktor i wouldnt even have to touch my computer. that and if its anything like there hardware im sure sounds great.

        ^but...

you're never going to see one of these in a club. you'll see the 800/92 everywhere. as awesome of a machine it is, i can't see getting used to something i won't ever see out.

that was one of the reasons I said "i can't see paying that much for something to mix with when i'd have to take it with me all the time, and i'm not a professional dj." meaning the only person who would lug something like this around WOULD be a professional DJ.

I've been looking at this for a while. Looks like it's the most affordable midi device on the market being at around $200. Lots of knobs, lots of faders, and a bunch of buttons..would be perfect for me!. Sasha even sported it for two gigs at the beginning of this tour after the maven broke. While it's shit sitting next to his maven or the korg he is using now, it's still functional enough for me.

I need something like this that I can play around with when traveling or away from my house where I don't have my cdjs and mixer.

it's made for doing video at the same time as audio, which is why the thing has NASA like looks.

it incorporates the video aspect yes, dont think it was MADE for that.. it simplifies the use of the on board effects by not using touch screen instead of the stupid little dial that the 500/600/800 have.. amoung other outstanding features.. nowt to be scared about tho, lol
