At University of Illinois Chicago {UIC} this morning:

"This afternoon, an anonymous e-mail was received by a number of people at UIC, threatening violence on campus sometime this spring."

a few hours later

"An arrest was made today in connection with the anonymous e-mail threat sent to several people at UIC on Friday afternoon, which was the subject of my security alert Friday evening.

Mahtab Shirani, 24, of Wheaton, a senior at UIC, was arrested by UIC police this morning and charged with disorderly conduct. Everyone charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty."

What an arsehole.!

Would seem odd to release her name?

But by releasing her name you condemn her in the eyes of the general public.

With so many fatal shooting lately there is no doubt schools unlikely to disregard any sort of rumor, the results of doing nothing have already been clearly displayed.
