All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon

I'm waiting for the 2nd gen. phone with 3g. Then I'll unlock it and use it with T-Mobile. I've been happy with them for the past 5 years, and I don't think I should be forced to use ATT.Comment

if you have t-mobile odds are you're already using at&t depending on where you live.
seems odd to me that phones are getting smuggled back to other countries that already have far superior phones than what wireless providers offer here in the states. but hey, it is the iphone we talking aboutComment

I was on cingular then I was forced intor AT&T. I went to go get an upgrade the other day and I thought I would pick up the Blackjack 2 for $99 dollars after the mail in rebate. I also thought I would be able to keep my same plan. Little did I know to get a Blackjack 2 I would have to upgrade from my "old" unlimited data plan to a new unlimited "media" plan for an additional $30 month, plus an $18 dollar service charge and a couple other charges I was not sure about. PDA's will cost you an additional $360 year just to use the internet plus your old service... However, when I was with cingular the data plan included the internet. To hell with AT&T...
Anyone have any suggestions other than AT&T?

I had them when it was still Cingular and had such a BAD experience, I switched back to T-Mobile half way through my cotract. My bill was never the same every month I had ALL of these extra chrages. Now that I'm back with T-mobile my bill is the same every month and I have excellent customer service. I understand that NO carrier is perfect though.I was on cingular then I was forced intor AT&T. your old unlimited "data" plan was media net no? for a regular phone (non pda)? if that's the case then just get a blackberry. far superior than that p.o.s. blackjack plus unlimited data (email and internet -html vs. wapbrowser) for only $30 which is only $10 more than what you were paying before.
whoever the salesperson you spoke to is a tool for not explaining this. Blackberries are built like a tank and by far the most reliable pda period, not to mention unlimited data is $30 vs. $50 on att.
btw blackberry curve was same price as the blackjack last week.Comment
