True Liverpool have spent some money ... but get real.
It's nothing compared to Man U and Chelski - look at the actual combined cost of each teams 1st squad of 16 (incl. 5 on the bench). Remember Rio cost £30m, Hargeaves & Rooney £24m each, Carrick/Nani/Anderson £18m each. They spent £50m in 3-days last summer and that's after winning the league !
Chelsea have spent £300m and written off Veron/Crespo (loaned until their contracts expire) and soon Scheva (£30m).
Liverpool had the net spend of Fulham in the summer after sales. Torres was £21m in instalments (+ Garcia) and the press thought we'd bought a dud (idiots clearly didn't remember how he lit up the world cup 2 years back). We also bought 2 young players but had no money to significantly invest in the 1st Team at the same time, and have been seeking free transfers under Bosmans.
Comparitively speaking Spurs have probably spent more and look at their premiership season.
