    Re: Lunar Eclipse

Here are some pictures I took:

    During totality

Before totality. My dining room window gave the weird double image of the bright portion of the moon. Saturn is at 8 o'clock and the star Regulus is at 12.

Through my telescope and the dining room window, so it's not as sharp as it should be.

It was cold. Then it got colder. About 22F by totality.

    Shortly after totality.

yeah thanks for the great photos. Keep up the good work.

Would love to be able to see something like this when the temp is a nice 60 degrees or better.

iirc, the rings are between 1-5 miles high. considering their enormous width and the immense gravitational pull of saturn, it's done a damn neat job of keeping them behaved in line.....

Whatever's been said about the mysteries of the Universe has never been said enough imo.

          Gotta love it.

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

Nice! How did you fit the Hubble in your dining room?

Hahaha, being compared to Hubble made my day.

I'll just say my 85mm telescope is a little out of its league, when trying to compete with Hubble's 2400mm diameter. (That's 3.3 inches vs. 9 feet.)
