i doubt it'll be as fast as the top speed G4 (or whatever it is called) speed they've got here in America. -
Re: Japan launches super speed internet satellite.
Speaking of super speed. I have been working for AT&T doing installs for their "Advanced TV" cable. And my boss tells me that in essence we are installing a T3 line in people's homes in order to hook them up with television and internet.
Would be really cool if someone could get into the system and make all that speed go to just the internet...but hell, the internet is only as fast as the servers will allow it to be.Comment

1.2 gigabytes per second for a residencial house? holy shite, dont know how fast is in America, but thats impressive!...
i think you need a greater computer in order to copy that much information faster rite?...https://soundcloud.com/jorgecortes/j...t-s-julio-2013">https://soundcloud.com/jorgecortes/j...t-s-julio-2013
All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.Comment

But the problem with AT&T's setup is it's FTTN not FTTP. You have some serious bandwidth loss that way. Verizon still wins with that one.Comment

Re: Japan launches super speed internet satellite.
Maybe they did mean bytes?
Enhanced with a powerful amplifier, the multi-beam antenna enables ultra-high-speed two-way communications with data rates near 1.2 gigabytes per second for businesses with ground antennas more than 15 feet in diameter. Four-foot ground antennas can reach two-way communication speeds of 155 megabytes per second, according to JAXA.
