sorry to post a bs venue question, but i trust team MS' advice...
i'm thinking of taking some out-of-town friends to crobar - can you get in on a sat wearing a t-shirt and UFO-style pants? khakis and button downs will mean we're going elsewhere - thanks
hell no on the ufos
>>you kinda have to get dressed up,<<
*maybe* they'll let sneakers go,
like really nice ones,
but the guys usually have to wear like the button down shirt thing, or nice shirt whatever,
t-shirts don't fly on the weekends
girls on the other hand have a more relaxed dress code,
i mean if they HAVE to dress like that, they could change when they get in, but honestly, they'd prolly look stupid (comparison to the rest of the crowd)
if its someone they really really want to see, there gonna have to dress nice
why don't you check out Ikon on friday. its a better party, imo. Chus and Ceballos , LES throwing it down. its the Godskitchen party. and plus you have taisun, jason jollins and Vicotr dinaire in the pink room. its dinaires going away party cause he's movin to LA. thats gonna be a bangin party.

always a shame when the clothes are more important than the music.

who the fuck likes to dance in a shirt?
that's why I would also recommend Ikon, Im almost sure you get in there wearing pretty much whatever you want. Forget Crobar, this place has no vibe for true music, even though it looks nice...
I've been to Crobar on Friday nights for Sasha, Digweed, DJ Rap/Hybrid among other djs and never had an issue with dress code at all with wearing jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt. I'm not the type to ever wear a button-down for clubbing, so it's always t-shirts or tanks when I go out. And there was never any drama at the door with wearing that. UFOs might be pushing it a little but other than that you'll be fine.
Saturday nights they try to be a bit more selective though.
when it comes to crobar the more ""proggier"" and bigger the dj is the more lax the dress code becomes. i wore a pair of jeans, adidas, and a thurmon munson yakee t shirt to see diggers last time. i went there striaght from the game without a problem.
but i also took the ex to see roger sanchez there and i had to dress up like a long island douchebag in black pants and gucci, ...........
your life is an occasion, rise to it.

i've had bad luck at crobar NY so far, 2 of the 5 times i went (with two other guys) they wouldnt let us in. We were dressed niced, they were doing the stupid door bullS*hit thing.
Now i buy tix in advance if i know i want to go, no problems there.
