anyone watch these? I've watched a half dozen today and am just floored by the ideas. My favourite so far has been Dawkin's 2002 speech and Thomas Barnett's 2005 speach on security and the evolution of international security (hilarious and informative).

there is one i really dug that was about 4 in the morning. These are really cool. But I can't understand why they don't ever have new ones...though I did check them out on youtube.
They do have new ones ... TED 08 is in session as we speak. Or probably over. I suspect they hold TED as a conference format, invite everyone as speakers, and subsequently release their talks as videos on the website every month or so. Been reading some live-blogging of TED 08.

Yup ... 8 years. Amazing. Sounds like an acid-out-of-body experience. She's very ... zen about it. I can't imagine experiencing that, and remaining calm / rational about it!
