      That shit is incredilbe! I watched a tv show with guys in wingsuits jumping out of planes and was completely amazed! Flying people batman!

            sign me the fuck up. how do you get into stuff like this? i reckon you'd have to have a minimum of like 200 skydives and a lot of money.

              ^^ yep, something like that. As I understand it from the few people I know involved in this, the wingsuit is a more advanced form of BASE...aside from thorough skydiving expertise, you should also first have a solid foundation of "regular" non-suit BASE jumping and probably wingsuit skydiving. They make it look easy, but I was surprised to read about how complex the various aspects of it are, from gear to the aerodynamics of it to all the split-second judgments you have to make along the way...and obviously there are a ton of ways to lose stability and screw up fast. It's really not the sport for people looking to just dabble in something on the side.
