I went and saw 311 last night along with a sold out audience at the New Orleans arena.

holy fuck! i've been waiting for about 13 years to see them live and last night was nothing short of amazing. they played for 5 hours!!! playing nearly, if not every song that they have written. too many highlights to remember. at one point they left the stage and a brass band from new orleans with voodoo dancers came out and did a short set. the crowd was amazing, the sound was incredible. everyone was singing and dancing and smoking hippie lettuce. just a great night. the best part for me was when they played "applied science" which led to a long drum solo where the set rose from the sateg about 15 feet. at the end of the solo the entire band came back out and played on stand up drums to finish and went back into the song. i have so many great photos on my phone but no idea how to upload them.
