Why would they admit to the fact that their boy is too inept to speak on his own?
Despite all these claims of it being a "wrinkle" or "rumple" in the fabric, none of this explains why he said "Can I finish??" when clearly no one was interrupting him.Comment

Re: Bush with Earpiece???
For something that "No major News stories are covering" this story sure seems to be making the rounds all of the sudden. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp..._pr/bush_bulge
The new spin: "Campaign officials declined to discuss it further because they weren't certain a bulge even existed and do not want to appear to take seriously what they consider a "wild accusation."
Can everyone here admit there is most definitely a rectangular lump, with a snaky wire looking thing heading up?

Re: Bush with Earpiece???
This absolutely blows my mind - further proof that some people out there will believe a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. Just imagine if these conspiracy theorists channeled their energy towards a more useful or relevant enterprise, instead we have websites and "news" reports devoted to such nonsense.
Aside from just plain common sense, there are two obvious reasons why this is total garbage:
1st - he's the President of the frickin United States of America, if he wanted to have his lines fed to him from a separate source he would have used a tiny wireless receiver - something a little more subtle, something that wouldn't be as visible. Do you really think he would strap a bulky friggin receiver to his back and run the wire up through his jacket and into his ear? Is Crockett and Tubbs outfitting the President with covert technology? It's 2004 people, there's more high tech equipment in an alarm clock than what you're suggesting he used - you'd think the leader of the free world would have some more modern gadgetry at his disposal.
2nd - if he was getting coached then who the hell was feeding him the lines, Mushmouth? Bush was a mess in that 1st debate, a total flustered mess. Wouldn't his answers have been more coherent, more precise and more consistent if he had an aide with all the information laid out in front of them coaching the President along? Isn't the idea behind this kind of espionage to avoid the exact problems Bush had in that first debate?
Unreal, some people will look for any possiblity no matter how impossible it is. Well keep looking kids, the truth....is....out thereImagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not;
a sense of humor to console him for what he is.Comment

Re: Bush with Earpiece???
If it's so completely ridiculous and asinine, then you should easily be able to point out exactly what the rectangular object in the back of his jacket actually is. Furthermore, you can explain why he said "Let me finish" from out of nowhere, when no one was interrupting him.
Finally, you can explain why the Republicans insisted that the cameras be fixed and only show straight-on shots? Restrictions which thankfully, our semi-free press ignored.Comment

Re: Bush with Earpiece???
Now it's your turn. Explain why, in 2004, the President is using spy tech from the 1970's. When you're done with that explain why he wasn't coached by someone a little more eloquent and clear in his speech.
And I'll even help you along with that second question. In instances where speakers have gotten coaching from off site coordinators, they are rarely given entire sentences to repeat. Instead the person on the other end of the mic will give them talking points, quick little bits of info that the speaker will run with. It doesn't make sense for the guy on one end to give long, full sentences while the guy on the podium waits in silence and probably forgets 1/2 the things he's heard.
So I'll play devil's advocate and give you that one. Explain then why the President repeated himself almost word for word at some instances. Don't you think this voice in his ear would have given him some more precise information so as not to seem that he was just repeating himself over and over again?Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not;
a sense of humor to console him for what he is.Comment

BSully, very well stated. Lobster um, again you being the naive conspiracy theorist that your historical for being, should stick to fighting the battles that you can possibly win. The presidents tailor, who made the suit himself, officially said that it was a crease in the fabrics, the way he was leaning over caused that crease. Period. Maybe you've never worn a suit before, but take it from us who do...the fabric doesnt ALWAYS stay straight like you've doused it in starch. Same way when your wearing jeans and sit down, the material in the crotch area folds up and makes it look like you have a STIFF GOOSENECK. Come on now Lobster, im sure THAT has atleast happened to you. ....im sure you'll play dumb on this one also."when you go to the dentist to get your wisdom teeth pulled out and you wake up after the operation with your pants unzipped, that means you dont have to pay the bill".Comment

Re: Bush with Earpiece???
Did anyone ever think since the camera was not on the moderator that maybe Bush saw that Leher was about to interput him so he cut him instantly??
Possible?? I think so. Let's let LobsterClan give us his Kennedyesque assasination insite on this.Comment

Wait. You mean to tell me there are websites out there that aren't liberal."The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws." - Tacitus (55-117 A.D.)
"That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves."
- Thomas JeffersonComment

Re: Bush with Earpiece???
Let's see, perhaps a crease in his shirt causing the stage lights to bend shadows and play tricks on your eyes. You'll do well to remember that these guys are wearing suits, not club gear. If you've ever dressed in a suit, you'd know that the button down shirt isn't skin tight and can bunch up when hunched over for periods of time as the President is in that picture. Next.
You'll see it's particularly noticeable when Bush hunches, or leans over. I'll get to the rest in a few.Comment

^^I see what you're talking about, but I don't see why that can't be a fold in the suit. Makes for an interesting story, but nothing more.
Honestly, there are so many other legitmate reasons to dislike Bush, this seems like grasping at straws...Comment
