                                  i think the more tragic passing this week is Anthony Minghella...guy was only 54. He did the English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Cold Mountain. Died of a blood clot after an operation.

                                  I never feel to bad when I hear of someone passing at 90...i know they probably lived a full life. especially in clarke's case.

                                      Mr. Clarke was a visionary and an avid SCUBA diver btw. His scuba station at the reefs off the coast of Sri Lanka (where he lived) was destroyed in the Boxing Day tsunami. He predicted the satellite communications system we have today and coined many other super high tech words and ideas. Some of them feasible, some fantasy.
