I really like t4 but t2 is my personal favorite out of the whole series. I thought all the transitions were really good but I still don't about this being diggers best mix ever. MMII and GU-los angeles are my personal all time favorite mixes from digs.
After listening to Structures CD 1 & 2 previews... I just had to pull this one out and take it for a spin. Admittedly haven't heard it for a while...and its still blazing hot!
Now I'm not so sure that the new album is gonna be as bad ass as this
T4 is pretty much a work of art ... plus T2 (which got poor scores from some reviewers) is exceptional too
I'd say a lot of work went into them - just to get a single CD out there.
The Bedrock series doesn't suffer from licencing issues (apart from the Vagabond mix) - and are a great package in their own right. The music on there will have less of a Berlin influence because those artists are already on exclusive deals + there's a lot of competition, so it won't sound the same as T4 ... but then we get the massive Bedrock moments instead.
Structures must represent the best value for money yet for a package of this type !

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
I must admit, of the Transitions series, I didn't really "get" 3 or 4, unlike the first two, which are divine to my ears. Mind, the 3rd was worthy of purchase alone for the inclusion of the 25-minute Gridlock with The Greatest Breakdown of All Time; and the 4th did have some quality moments... I haven't listened to either of them for quite a while, so I might enjoy them more now.
I'm really looking forward to Structures - as Simon has just said, one would expect it to be value for money I'm still desperate to know how much of the Vagabond set will be included, given the aforementioned licensing issues (boo).
