Doubtful many (if any) will agree with me on here but, all the T series have been mediocre and well below expectation.

Live and in a club environment he's one of the best but, this doesn't translate to CD whatsoever.

In my opinion J.D in the club and J.D in the studio are completely different experiences...if I was listening to this mix in a club it simply wouldn't work..
This is a very deep mix that requires full attention from the listener...the mixing is flawless as always with Digweed. However there isn't that drive that club music has this in a sense the "vortex" everyone is jabbering about.. its just pure depth of the music thats allows or even forces the listener to get lost in the sound in true sense of the meaning...
Great mix that can easily escape you if you don't give it your attention...truly a great
    mix

well said. i agree, digweed on cd does not transfer to digweed in the club. i had just about given up on digweed until saturday. but now that im listening to the new cd, its like im hearing it in the club.

Sounds like you're more into his peaktime sound than his building up if you prefer the end of the mix which is definitely peaktime.

Maybe if you listened to his first Bedrock comp, GU Sydney, GU Hong Kong, GU LA, you might have a better appreciation for how he does things in a mix. Even MMII.

Assuming you've caught him live, it also depends on who he took over and what the warm up was like. I've heard him in different sets where he took over and banged it out or built up to madness, so it really depends.

Gotta remember you can't get the full Digweed experience unless he is playing 4hrs or more, and the Vortex when it hits you, is a culmination of cock tease and build ups with that one track that brings everything home.

So there's no way you can compare or hope to get the same experience on his mixed comp.

But this is as close as it gets, seriously. I've never heard this kind of madness on his mixed comp before. Uplifting, yeah. Groovy, yeah. Deep, yeah. Dark, yeah. Trancey, yeah. Housey, yeah. Chuggy, yeah. But nothing like the second part of T4. Dunno if it was the tracks or the edits and layers, but some of those sounds are just ridiculous, like hearing the music decay and put back together, can't even tell wtf is going on anymore. I'm tempted to say he rewrote 'progressive' with this mix, but that might be stretching it
