I don't see anything wrong with that line. It's quite possible that could happen. Stem cell research has already cured people of cancer, why not victims of paralysis?

How quickly you forget about the comment from Alan Keyes in regards to God not allowing Barack Obama to win the Illinois senate seat.

ska, lets not forget that BUSH is the FIRST & ONLY president that has provided federal money for stem cell research. He has said he supports it, and unlike Kerry, his record proves it. Now, you actually believe that for Edwards to suggest that by voting for Kerry...miraculously like a southern baptist or a pentacostal preacher, chronic & degenerative diseases such as paralysis, cancer, alzeimers, parkinsons...diseases that have tormented humans since the beginning of civilization, will be cured as a direct result of voting for Kerry??!! The entire world spends hundreds of billions of dollars for research to cure or slow down these progressive diseases, and Kerry/Edwards, by supporting the funding of this research(which we are ALREADY doing) is going to supernaturally, like a witch doctor, do some wonder working and those who were blind will now see, the dead will even rise from their grave!!! Ska....um, you dont see a problem with making this kind of erratic and irresponsible statement? Skahound, you might have been born in the USA but the rest of us weren't born yesterday.

Also Skahound.....hmmm.....*cough*....well I suppose your just talking out of your neck again or something but...well...heres some news for you. Stem cell research is preliminary RESEARCH. It has not been used to CURE ANYTHING. Yet of course...Im personally very optimistic I have to add. But do you even know what stem cell research is? or what your name is...how many fingers am I holding up? ha..j/k relax
heres some education for ya friend...

?embryonic stem cells have the potential to be used to treat and better understand deadly and disabling diseases that affect more than 100 million Americans, such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Parkinson?s, Alzheimer?s, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and many others.?

"These numerical claims are outrageous. Embryonic stem cell research is a very young science, and its promise is at this point purely speculative. No human therapies of any kind have yet been developed or tested at all, for any disease or condition. And the notion that embryonic stem cells will cure ?cancer? and ?heart disease,? broad categories of diseases that are not used by researchers to refer to particular ailments, is utterly unsupported by even informed conjectures. Yet these broad categories are the only way that advocates for funding can pump up the numbers of people to be cured into the nine-digit stratosphere. One has to wonder how many of the 206 members of Congress who signed DeGette?s letter knew that this figure was wildly exaggerated, and whether they would still have signed if they had known the facts".

PS. dont be all frazzled by my tone, im just being a bit abrasive.

^^OK, but stem cell research has got a lot of scientists pretty excited about its potential.

I understand, although I do not agree with, the argument that we ought not engage in embryonic stem cell research because it involves destroying a human embryo. The argument that we ought not engage in stem cell research because it might not ultimately bear the type of fruit we're hoping for, however, fails to acknowledge the incredible potential that people educated in the field believe exists in this research. Scientific development should be encouraged -- the current administration's posture has restricted that development...

the fact that that man is the most powerful person in the world is utterly horrifying. " i own a lumber company, thats news to me.... anybody want some wood?". Good joke mr. bush! And good luck in those talks to prevent the threat of nuclear war.

I'm a conservative canadian and i really couldnt care less who's president, as long as its not that man. What a fucking retarded country. Jesus christ a man that stupid shouldnt be leading anything. Maybe im just 'misunderestimating' him though.
