I've always been a big fan of Eidolon aka Ian Lehman's work. One of the more talented producers here in Minneapolis who regularly plays out in Europe alongside Beyer and the like.

Also, Caterpillar Lounge on Mondays and Tuesdays has some great selection of house and minimal. If you like Chuck Love you'll like what goes on Mondays. If you're more into the quirky stuff then Tuesday is your cup of tea. No headliners that week M-Thur. Not till Sat when good 'ol Woody McBride gets on at First Ave.

I'm countin down the hours for S&D Part 2 Tonight Chicago was a blast. Tonight they are scheduled to play 3 to 3.5 hours. So fairly close to Chicago's 4 hour set.

Bar close is 2 AM. So anywhere from 8/10 PM to 2 AM.

Yeah you aren't going to find much going on in the Twin Cities on a weekday night after 2 AM. Weekends is another story. A rockin afterhours (with full bar) each weekend with pretty good array of guests till 7 AM usually. Last weekend was Someone Else and Miskate. You'd easily have no lost sleep on a weekend here.
