I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

I was reffering to the clubbing scene wich, since 3-4 years ago, started massively to developp, having the occasion to see sasha every 1st may on the board of the black sea or lee burridge 3-4 times/year.

there are people who practically are bored to see the same Djs playing.

take a look at the page below to have an idea of what will happen on the local scene in the next 1-2 weeks (easter holiday + 1 may holiday).

ps : that video is actually from timewarp, not from kristal club.

Kristal is one club i really want to visit. Its a shame they don't seem to record any sets from there anymore. 3 or 4 years ago there used to be loads of live sets coming from there.

yeah, the only sets i've heard lately from that club were sven's and luciano's (wich I strongly reccomend to listen) last year gigs.

i would not want to be caught between him and the mixer. breaks out some classics on there too.

one of you mentioned that he's slowed down a bit, and in some sense i kinda agree.
but so has sasha, digweed, and others. For example, Compare Sasha's Alexander Palace set, with his Glastonbury 2003 set, and his recent Amnesia 2007 essential mix. By next year, i imagine he'll be rockin out at a stead 125bpms ffs.

have to give it to coxy, he works the crowd. read an interview of his a while back and he stated that he never comes prepared for a show, always feels what the crowd wants and delivers. havent listened to any of his newer stuff but FACT and the live at crobar set from a few years back are intense. he is a bit repetitious tho.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

Feckin brilliant to see someone clearly enjoying themselves so much. Even if his tunes aren't top of my list, you've got to love him for giving it the sausage finger and bouncing around like an excitable Tellytubby. Nuff respect.

Cox is great live - although it really depends on the crowd he is playing too as to what you will here. I saw a 3 hour mixing masterclass from him in my students union, he played loads of cheesy house followed by some great techno, was a fun evening and he was loving it.. played exactly what the 1200 students wanted to hear, rocked it.

On the other hand, saw him at Gods Kitchen in Birmingham a few years back, James Zabiela in room 2, awesome night out, he played 4 hours of techno absolutely smashed it.

I probably wouldnt enjoy seeing another festival set of his, but he is a great dj and really does play to the audience...

Its probably one of his "live" tracks - he showcased some of them at SW4 a couple of years ago, probably around the same time that movie was recorded.

Coxy's early evening Terrace sets are fantastic, and Carl returns to play from 3.00 til 8.00 a.m. He's still a top DJ, and his set from Womb sets a quality that others struggle to match.

He deserves his place alongside likes of S & D, albeit that he has a different style.
