Sean is a great DJ and producer, though I would keep him away from the Jim Beam if I were you. Last time he played here he was drinking the stuff like water, throwing records, gave his watch away, tried to lift my friends girlfriend's shirt up then asked my friend if he had any opiates...was a classic night...lol

i just hosted sean the other night and he was great. it sounds like you already have a built in crowd for your event in which case i dont think you need to use such a big name. i've heard plenty of others just as good that wont charge you an arm and a leg. if you can get him to play for free that is best, thats what i do, but then again these guys have been asking me to play my party.

my personal record is 5 days of nothing but drugs and vodka.
11am of the 5th day I lost ability to beat match correctly and I could only talk in tounge.
I think I lost about 5 pounds -- and I have no idea why they let me on my airplane.

I was breathing really heavy and sweating the entire flight -- I was inbetween two poor black ladies.

then the friggin airline almost lost my records....

                          man never again

sean cusick sean cusick sean cusick. grab a hold of the set he did for the b-sides, i think it's exactly the kind of thing you're looking for.

and for that matter, check out some of deepdarkfunky's sets from this board.

the first one in particular. he can play pretty fucked music when he wants to.

good point, luck would become secondary to or at least accompanied by good drugs. No such luck for the event staff though.

Does anyone have any Sean Cusick sets they'd be willing to burn and drop in the mail to me? (I'm a mac user so I don't have soulseek.) I'd be happy to send you some cash for your trouble. PM if you're interested.

And Scott, you're right, our crowd comes for the event name, not the dj's. For the most part they don't have the slightest idea who the dj's are, especially not big name club dj's.
