how long have you been there?

I'm the same way at my job, I cant stand being micro managed.. no one questions me except every once in a while some people at the corporate level, but they are in georgia, and i can just avoid them most of the time.. plus i have the complete backing of the local mgmt

option 2 - if you are not vested in this job, simply look for another one. there comes a time where you must realize if there is no future in what you are doing, you must cut all ties and simply walk way. the ability to recognize a bad investment and go another direction is a blessing sometimes.

To walk away from a job without first having another job set up would be like committing suicide...I, for one can't afford to not have a job, let alone not have one while I look for one..Sometimes it can take a long ass time to find a job..I could never put myself in that situation...Maybe if I was 15 again and living off mommy and daddy....

i just started my new (old) job this last week because the last place i was at our director was a micromanger to the extreme. tried to keep her hands in everything and even all the technical work i was supposed to be doing that she had no idea what it consisted of. but insited on emails and updated 24/7 and emailing me at 10:30 at night wanting updates for random stuff.
it got so bad and since she tried to know everything she didnt know anything since she was trying to do 10 things at once and never knew what was going on. that and working every damn weekend and nights sealed the deal for me leaving.
