lets here some sensible advice guys

you change when you aren't happy anymore. find the source of your unhappiness and change it. in dhar's case, it seems he isn't happy with his job. you're taking the right steps by asking for advice.

you're looking at 3,000 - 5000 USD per month for a flat in a nicer area of town. assuming the higher end of that, thats 60k a year just for rent (you will NOT be able to afford to buy). you won't need a car though, as the public transportation there is immaculate.

depending on whether you pay taxes on what you earn there or not (a big factor), i'd say $120k aftertax to be comfortable. depends on your lifestyle though, and how frugal you can be.

i heard that decent appartments cost around 30000 hk dollar a month. half of what your suggesting.

depends...where would you be working?

edit: and yes, 30,000 will get you a decent place, but its more about location that you'd be paying more for. if you want to live in an 'expat area' then it usually costs more.

tbh i would want to be in a european area. nothign against the chinese, just it will be easier to intergrate!

^ my gut can be in varying states depending on what and how much i drunk the night before!!

today i've drunk about 4 espressos and i've got some pretty cool, acute cramps every now and then.

my gut is abused! it will anything to save itself!!! it cant be trusted!!!!
