well it's a tad foolish to be thinking like this because i am still locked into school for 2 years... but I am really interested in living abroad for a few reasons.

when I visited berlin about a year ago I was totally enchanted by the city and vowed that I would return -- and upon some investigation I noticed there are quite a few audio software companies which is the type of work I am interested in.

I also however have noticed berlin getting a lot of attention in would be underground magazines, which strikes me as troublesome so I was just curious how the scene has been changing in berlin the last few years. I would hate to move there and have it turn into nyc

so kinda curious, but theres a bit of a reason behind it!

I live about 90 minutes south of Berlin, but I go there as often as I can.

I've been there once quickly. Need to go back. Visually not so nice, but culturally one of the worlds best cities. Good central location to visit many places too. Go for it, don't hold back. You will regret not doing it!

Yeah, the city is low and spreads wide without much old stuff due to the WW2. There are so many other cities better to visit for the old world charm. Personally, I love Prague the best. I've been to 16 major cities in Europe, it is by far the best for 'charm' of the other big cities. There are many smaller cities just a nice. The train system is so good there. Travel is easy and affordable without a car, and you can sleep overnight on the train and arrive in your chosen ciiy in the morning. So Berlin is fine as a base for home-work, and branch out your travels from there easily. But you could do the same from many other cities also. Bro, read up on what the cities have to offer, and compare with what you want. Better yet, take a trip before making any major decisions like moving.

I enjoyed prague,
but it was the mixture of new architecture and a few very old and beat up buildings that made me love berlin so much

also the women, and i was talking to a few locals about the music scene and it seemed very neat.. i do need to plan a trip

oh yah and lots of people spoke english!
